About Madison.

Early on Madison knew she wanted to pursue a career in interior design. “I remember going to The Old Boot with my Dad and taking graph paper and pencils so we could sketch out house plans over dinner,” she recalls. “My Dad ran a hardware store and was a spontaneous DIY’er. My mom was always rearranging the décor of our home with family heirlooms and special objects she found. She could take everyday objects and make them look so special.” - Madison

Madison completed her Bachelor of Interior Design degree from Mount Royal University in Calgary, graduating in 2009. After graduation she went on to work for a boutique firm in Jasper, Alta working in both residential & hospitality design. Although residential design will always be her first love, she found a close second in the Hospitality industry working with restaurants and hotels in both Jasper and Banff National Parks. After meeting her husband, she moved back to B.C. settling briefly in Langley where she attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Here she obtained a certificate in architectural drafting and began working for a local design studio focusing on high-end residential design.

In 2018 she had the opportunity to move back to the Sunshine Coast where her and her husband have started a family and she launched Madison Gardiner Design. “I feel very lucky to be able to make my home here on the Coast. This place that is so familiar and yet so wild. I continue to draw so much inspiration from this environment.” - Madison
